Peter Davidson 'Drawings'

Peter Davidson
Drawings
18 May - 22 June 2024

We’re pleased to present an exhibition of new works on paper by Peter Davidson, as part of Melbourne Design Week.

Peter Davidson is a Narrm/Melbourne-based artist and architect, best known for designing Melbourne’s Federation Square as founder and co-director of LAB architecture studio. After a major stroke in 2010, Davidson stopped practicing as an architect and devoted himself full-time to his artistic practice. Drawing has always been an integral part of Davidson’s life, and his drawings reflect a relentless desire to explore the line, both in architecture and then through abstraction. Meticulous and intricate, the drawings trace a multitude of patterns and forms through the strict constraint of black lines on paper.
